We have a product supplier, and we wish to use this plugin to scrape all products of our supplier and keep their price updated in our website.
I have 2 questions to know if its possible to achieve the following with the plugin:
1- Our product supplier makes 2 types of promotions, normal promotions (where we also want to update our product to be on Sale for the same price) and “Stock off” promotions. When they make “stock off” promotions we do not make any profit on the item, so if the promotion is “Stock off” we don’t want the _sale_price to be updated.
Is this possible to do?
put a filter/condition, that if a certain info/metadata is detected on their website, then it won’t update the oroduct, or it will, for example, switch the product visibility to hidden/draft?
2- Our product supplier categories are very unorganized. We create specific categories in our website to organize the products better, as an example, they have one big category “Eletronics” and put phones, laptops, everything inside this category.
We divide them into “Phones” category, “Laptops” category etc…
If we scrape all of their “electronics” category pages, and then manually change some aspects like Name and the category where the products are (we manually apply them to the corresponding correct categories), will the Scraper Update still update the product?
Essentially we just want the Scraper plugin to scrape the products and then focus on updating the price, is it possible to set to only check and update price and not change anything else name/category/description…
I understand if these will not be possible in the way I described them, but if you have some suggestions for alternatives that could be configured please let me know!
