creating a task is fine. it works and scrapes the correct data.

i created a task to be updated every 24hrs.
but after 24hrs it doesn’t do anything anymore. and if I start that task or run it again nothing happens.
    I do this:
    -Pause Task
    -Start Task
    -Run
    but nothing happens.

i need to duplicate the tasks for it to run again. but it still won’t run on the schedule.
initially when i first installed/used it, it works fine. it runs on schedule and scraping.
but after a month i doesn’t work anymore since then. the server/php settings are fine.

    Please help asap!

Hi, looking at your screenshot, I see that you have cloned the task multiple times and each of them is being scheduled. This will only slowdown the process and also may create conflict as it’s the same task. First of all, please delete all the clones and have only one task for particular job.

After this make sure that WP cron is working fine. Please follow the steps as mentioned here – https://tribulant.com/docs/wordpress-mailing-list-plugin/11164/make-sure-the-wordpress-cron-works/

And in “track changes” tab, enable these 2 options – https://www.screencast.com/t/h7aylddAnDqd

    Let us know!

Hi Suman thank you for the response.

I see that you have cloned the task multiple times and each of them is being scheduled.
-you say this because you see there is “copy” on the title right? actually each task is scraping for a specific page. there are no duplicate tasks because each task is scraping a body of a specific page. you see there is “copy” on the title is because if the original task doesn’t work, i duplicated it and deleted the original task. i only left “copy” on the title so that i will know which one is the old one and which one is the new task. there are no duplicate tasks.

    as for “Track Changes” settings:
-“Check posts by title and update after changes” was not checked because i don’t need it because i only scrape the body of the page.
-“Automatically resets the task when it’s done” was checked.

as for WP cronjob, it does work.

Do you know what the issue is? i’ve used/installed this since October 2019, and still having that issue until now.

again, the issue is, i have tasks running, it scrapes at first, but on the next schedule it doesn’t do it anymore. even though i restart it it does nothing.

by the way, the first time i used the plugin it works fine. when i check the next day, it scraped the updated content and it also shows when was the last run. then after a month i doesn’t work anymore.

currently i have 20 tasks running and will add more, maybe it will become 50 tasks because the other pages needs to be scraped as well. i am not scraping a post by the way, it’s a static page. it’s because the company has two websites, two group manages it. the other group want the same content on both websites but we can’t directly get data from the old website. that’s why we use a scraper. we use a scraper so that when the other website is updated, the new one will also get the new content coz the old website frequently update their contents.

So, it runs as scheduled for some time and then it stops? After this what if you run it manually? Does it work?
Can you please let us know your site’s backend login details so that we can look into the tasks? Thanks!
